The Ray Harryhausen Exhibition will be on at the National Museum of Photography. It's closed on the Monday (if I read the website correctly) but there'll be plenty of time to see it (and the rest of the museum) before things kick off on the Saturday or Sunday.
Anyone interested?

Surely going to see something "Before the bands come on" will impinge on the previous nights drinking activities.

*shrugs* I'm not much of a drinker and certainly not when I'm killing Ninjasdancing like a loon so I intend to be fit and awake during the day. :o)

BTW, what's the museum like? I'd assume you had a look, considering it's round the corner from the venue?

The museum is fantastic, and definitely a jewel in Bradford's crown.

If you're going on a time/day which I can make, I'll happily join you. I'd like to go round the exhibition again.

Depending on when I get there, either Friday afternoon or Sunday morning/early afternoon, by the looks of it.

Meeting up would be cool. :o)

or Saturday morning/early afternoon as the market is open all weekend, by the looks of it.

Well, when you have a firm decision, let me know ;)

Erm... I did think about going ot the museum last time, but, well, spent too much time partying with rock stars, and didn't make it there.

The consensus from the crowd was that I was foolish to try something [livejournal.com profile] lee_chaos suggested, and downright stupid to do so twice :)

Saturday morning should be kept free for the international food market in the town. It's absolutely wonderful... especially the stalls selling basil bread and the iranian cakes *nom!*

I'd actually suggest getting to Bradford early on the friday and doing the museum in the afternoon.

Ah, yes, I've read about that. Iranian cakes? Sounds sticky. ;o)

Will need to talk to [livejournal.com profile] dmh but leaving early is a good idea, anyway. I've got the whole of Friday off so that won't be a problem.

I normally leave Reading at about/before 6 to avoid any problems with the motorway and get to Bradford just after one, which leaves lots of time to have a kip, wander around town and have a nice dinner before the weekend starts.

Saturday mornings are dedicated to the food market (when it's on) and sunday morning is sunday lunch in one of the nearby pubs. Unless there's a naff band on part way through the afternoon each day (not happening this year) you don't have much chance to get food once bands start unless you are happy with their little canteen... really wouldn't recommend it though.

Yeah, I looked at the Sat and Sun schedules around dinner time and it looks like I'll have to let one of the Hilton dinners go unused. Shame, really.

Are they OK with people taking food in? The food market sounds perfect for getting stuff for sandwiches.

I think they prefer you not to take food in, but I've never seen people being searched and stopped
