PotC 2 was good fun, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bit after the credits isn't anything special although rather neat.

There was a general goth confusion as [livejournal.com profile] feanelwa, [livejournal.com profile] briggsy (with [livejournal.com profile] belaroo and [livejournal.com profile] tobykenobi coming later) and I were at the VUE while the rest were at Cineworld. *sigh* I could have sworn [livejournal.com profile] robinbloke hadn't posted a cinema (and he hadn't first time round) so I automatically assumed it was the VUE (because I don't like Cineworld).

- It's not as easy to get to and find free parking.
- I find the seats uncomfortable.
- It's supposed to be a state-of-the-art cinema but it feels at least 10 years old. They could have done better than that.
- An odd thing for me to say but it has an odd vibe I don't like.

the seat thing is a matter of preference I guess I have never found the seats at either cinema particular good or particularly bad

I guess as far as the state of the art thing I have never really noticed but I also never saw it claiming to be any better technology wise than any of the other local cinemas so I guess the expectation wasn't there

the lack of free parking thing is annoying for both the multiplexes in cambridge but cineworld being a 2 minute walk from the train station is no more difficult to get to by public transport than vue which is a 2 minute walk from the bus station! the only reason vue is easier to park for free near is because it is closer the city centre and the major reason cineworld doesn't have free parking is because they obviously decided it was too close to the station and it would be taken advantage of

In my experience, cinema seats are never comfortable.

The bad vibe is the ghosts of all the future-people who drowned because of the massive flooding caused when the last square centimetre of fen was concreted over to build a super shopping mall chain restaurant entertainment complex ;)

When we went, we were going to sit through the stupidly long credits to watch the snippet at the end but one of the cinema staff thankfully came out and said that its not worth sitting through 15 minutes of credits. He told us what the end bit was, and I'm glad he did.

[livejournal.com profile] belaroo and I did navigate to Cineworld and even met up with [livejournal.com profile] robinbloke et al before finding out every screen was fully booked (curses). We then set sail to Vue (which was pretty full itself) to rendezvous with the second fleet of goths. At least starting at Cineworld enabled me to play Dance Dance Revolution in full Pirate gear and gain some notoriety with the American tourists who stood and gawped :)
