Those of you subscribed to [livejournal.com profile] karohemd_pics will have already seen these but here you can see all of them at full size. I'm quite pleased with them as the misty weather gave them an interesting atmosphere and the silhouette shots worked, too. There will also be a few photos of [livejournal.com profile] snapesbabe doing a bit of climbing.

*very nearly sobs*

That's one of my favourite places in the world and I haven't been there in years. And you've caught a side of it I've never ever managed to see, the mist and the grey and the age and the menace of it - I'm used to going there in blazing sunshine, I've never managed to see it in the mist. Beautiful.

Thank you, Ozzy, even if I am going to be homesick for the rest of the day now. *smile*

Mission accomplished, then. (the portrayal of the rocks, not making you homesick)

You're welcome!

Wow! I've googled em and made a note of their location... it's 2 hours drive for me but I'm going to have to check this place out.

I could imagine you can find lots of inspiration (and ideas for textures etc.) there.

Wow, they're pretty. I gather from what [livejournal.com profile] navigatorsghost says that they're North somewhere? *should go and check*

Of the two where you want a choice, the one on the left is better.

Near Harrogate: directions here.

And I like the one on the left better too, though the other one would make a good basis for some kind of optical illusion piece.

They're in North Yorkshire, not far from Harrogate. There's a link in one of my previous posts.

I like the one where you have highlighted the texture better than the pure silhouette. These are really lovely.

*nods* The first one makes it looks like rocks, the second one is a bit more abstract (the idea was to get some sort of shadow play effect as it really looks like a hand).

Cool photos. For some reason it reminds of the planet from Alien/s.
