I randomly flicked around channels and came across The Antiques Roadshow on BBC1 where a woman had a pair of 17th century wheel lock pistols with an estimated value of 13-15K...

They had gorgeous bone inlay and were in really good shape. The expert estimated a cleaning and restoration cost of 500-750 quid but considering their value, that's nothing. The metal parts were in remarkable condition considering their age and I wouldn't be surprised if the pistol were fully functional after the restoration.
