Carnivale Season Two

will be out on DVD on the 18th of July (in the US).

Will it be worth it or just too frustrating knowing that it will never be resolved?

From what I've heard it's not worth it. You'll just be disappointed because nothign will finish and you'll be left with more questions that answers

The second season does resolve a hell of a lot... and then it's just starting off a whole new batch when it finishes. I'll probably be picking it up when I can afford it.

They are aparently going to do a miniseries this year to wrap it off, a new series may come out of that if viewing figures are good enough

We are about midway through the first, real pissed off to find out that it has been cancelled :(

Not as pissed off as we were. We'd just finished watching the last episode of season two when we heard the news of it's cancellation. Major cliff hanger of an ending!

It's well worth it as it does wrap up a number of the character plots nicely. Yes, it's irritating that it finished where it did... but still well worth watching :)

Don't forget that they have actually signed on with Marvel to do bunch of graphic novels as well, so there will be some closure at least.

Carnivale was also written to take us into present times, so we just might see a combination of things to finish off the plotlines.

But, the fact that HBO is finally seeing that they are stupid is wonderful!! I know enough Neilsen families now to break kneecaps if they don't watch it;)
