Photo journal?

I was thinking of creating an LJ account in which I'm going to post just photos and related posts.
This would be separate but will not contain any more photos than my main journal. I know some of you only have friended me for my photography so this would be ideal for you as the other journal won't contain any random links or other immaterial waffle.

Well there's always the thing that if you have a large f-list you might not want random art-photo interested people hearing about your intimate cat-sandwich trauma, (or whatever.) Depends how you view your LJ as a whole, personal blog or art portfolio, (or for that matter, both!) But that's more how comfortable you feel about it. If you're comfy with it as it is, keep it as it is.

I don't know you well enough, (yet,) for chit-chat, I'd like to start with the art, chit-chat may well come later though.

Well, putting in everything reflects everything I am (i.e. not just the photographer or the DJ but also the random every day bloke off the street).
I have a dedicated friends groups which I use to post more technical details (waffling about f-numbers and the like) about my work and ask for advice. Let me know if you'd like to join that and I'll include you.

Feel free to skip everything that isn't photography but I won't mind you commenting on other things, either.

I have to say that if you created a photojournal it would annoy me because it would be yet another name to add to the f-list and I already have far too big an f-list.

No, read the description again.
I would not put the photos just on the other journal. The other journal would be like this one but only contain photo related posts not the other stuff so the people who only want to see the photos don't have to wade through tons of drivel.
I've been thinking exactly about what you mention, hence this setup.
