Saturday
Got up far too late due to being on IRC for too long on Friday night grrrr, wrote the ST report and sent it off, printed ling char sheet and directions and got ready, packing booze, munchies, Dippadoom™ and overnight bag.
Picked up [livejournal.com profile] wyrdness in St. Neots, then [livejournal.com profile] dreamingchristi and finally [livejournal.com profile] clawboy42 and off we were to the middle of nowhere almost perfectly on time.

Despite having to drive on narrow, semi-flooded and bendy roads (with silly conversations about cargo satellites filled with fish) on our way to [livejournal.com profile] lanfykins', we only lost our way three streets away from Sarah's house. A short phone call later we found it in the end.
Very cool house, if a bit difficult to navigate, both due to sheer amount of stuff in it and the most stupid cats I've ever seen ;o)

We chatted for a bit and had some nice pizza before cramming ourselves into Paul's car (he had selflessly offered to stay home and take care of the cats), stopping over at a Sainsbury's to get some last minute party supplies and finally getting to [livejournal.com profile] nevecat's where the party was already in full swing.

Dippadoom™ and the Amarula I brought went down well, as did the chocolate. [livejournal.com profile] pure_simon and [livejournal.com profile] nevecat liked their presents for which I was glad as I simply hadn't any idea what to give them.

The party was good fun with lots of silliness, lots of backs were rubbed, necks scritched and ears nibbled. I guess, Sarah had the most fun there, although Christi discovered the pleasures of being scritched as well, much to her suprise ;o).
I drank a bit, but not much. However, it would have been enough not to be able to drive so I was grateful Sarah offered the lift. There was good music, and interesting music, and silly music downloaded from the web. Cool people as well and much fun in all.

Photos will be forthcoming, first onto a secret link so everbody can let me know if they are fine with the pics being published (there are some people who don't like their pics on the web, which is fair enough). I'll mail the people I know and ask them to forward the link.

We got back to Sarah's at about 4 and fell into our beds and sofas. As always after a night like this I didn't sleep too well in an unfamiliar environment and with too much light coming in from the windows.

Sunday
Finally got up at about 11, watched the rest of Star Wars on telly and waited for the rest to crawl out of their holes. Sarah made tea and I had a muesli as well (Thank You!), we chatted more and then packed our stuff to go to Reading.
Found the way back onto the M4 surprisingly easily (well, it was daylight) and I can find RISC easily now.

Arrived at RISC, finding a lot of people standing in front. Got out of the car only to get told by Rhona to gt back in and to follow her to a different venue. Thankfully, RISC opened before we set off so I parked again...

Berkshire Changeling was a good game again with some obscure and silly things happening and some PCs not understanding what was meant by "Do not touch the rosebushes!" and doing it anyway, only to find out that it hurt, a lot... ;o)

Swapped Christi's seat with [livejournal.com profile] andrewdavies as Christi stayed behind to go along to the Oxford game. Took some lengthy detour through Reading and had a bit of heavy traffic on the M25 but got home to Cambridge reasonably easily. Dropped off my passengers, went home and plunked myself in front of the computer.

The photos look cool and will be on the web by tomorrow night, I hope.
Now it's time for a shower and bed.

Good night!
