Got some free turkey breasts and a huge bowl of salad from the party leftovers on Thursday night, got home, marinated the turkey, got ready and headed off to [livejournal.com profile] andrewdavies'.
There, the party was already in full swing. Aside from the usual suspects there were [livejournal.com profile] davywavy, Paul, John and Claire from the Tuesday games club and three (ex-)colleagues of Andy's. [livejournal.com profile] phoenix_tat, [livejournal.com profile] k_lioness were there with their little [livejournal.com profile] ethanjames. Unfortunately, they had to leave early for obvious reasons but we now have Mountain Dew!

The party was a quiet, mellow affair, nobody got exceedingly drunk and everybody seemed to have fun. There were several attempts at cheese racing but the BBQ was either too hot or too cool.
Both the German grilling sausages and the turkey steaks were well received, as was the Dippadoom™, obviously. *smile*

There was a fruitless attempt at shaving off Mouse's stupid goatee but they didn't do it in the end.

The party wound down rather quickly and only [livejournal.com profile] razornet, [livejournal.com profile] clawboy42, Mouse, Buzz, [livejournal.com profile] wyrdness and myself were left to play Monkey Ball on [livejournal.com profile] jasonooc's GameCube which was actually quite fun. I crashed out soon, though, as I had only 4 hours sleep the previous night.

Night was OK, nobody snored but still not very successful at getting enough sleep.

After some "breakfast" consisting of chocolate bisuits and sitting around chatting, Andy, Dave W, Jason and me headed over to the golf range.
I never had played before so obviously it took me a couple of attempts to actually hit the bloody ball and I never got the swing right so the ball would actually fly in a proper arch but I wasn't completely useless. I'm not very flexible, so the whole body swing thing was very difficult to do.
Putting was a lot easier after learning how much or rather, how little power to put behind a shot.
It's only a pitch&putt course, 9 Par 3 holes which I needed between 6 and 8 shots for. Not bad for the first time, I guess.

Headed back to Andy's, had leftover burgers and sausages for lunch, football in the background and chatted about various things.
I headed back at about half 2 and started copying the video.

Later nice long shower, dinner and then head off to the Vamp game. Get back, download photos and sleep!!

Changeling tomorrow.
