tooth_fairy's post about overfishing and endangered fish reminded me that I don't eat as much fish as I should. Considering I buy my meat from local butchers (who source their wares from reasonably local farms), I should really buy fish from independent shops, too.
Any recommendations gratefully received.

Reports from other cam.miscers who've been there suggest it's very good, and apparently they try to obtain sustainably-caught fish wherever possible.
(I wouldn't know personally whether it's good, since I don't eat fish!)

I should be spoilt as the Fish market in B'ham is excellent, but somehow I never manage to make it there :(

Although as I'll not be in till the afternoon it's a case of catch as catch can, ingredients wise...

Date: 6/10/06 12:49 pm (UTC)I used to eat a lot more fish when I was living in Plymouth and in Doncaster where you could actually get fresh fish.
Not-fresh fish is... Well, not worth cooking and certainly not worth eating raw.
