Revenge on Fuddruckers for illegal linking to content and passing it on as their own.

Genius.

Update: fuddruckers.com is now offline and links to Google...

Um...yeah. Let's all laugh at the stupid moron who thinks that companies shouldn't link to his website. I mean the link text you've used is sarcasm right?

Erm, no. What would you do if you had games or other programs on your website and you'd find that someone uses them on their website not only without your consent but not acknowleding you as the author, either? You'd most likely demand that at least they give you credit and host it on their own site.

Others might choose to block access or move the files to a different location so the links stop working, he chose to add different content.

Fuddruckers.com is now offline it seems and links to Google.

I'd agree, except Fuddruckers aren't doing that. They've linked to a page on his website that clearly has his email address and website URL on it. His own screenshots clearly show this.

Maybe I've got it wrong, but I was lead to believe that the ethos of the Web was to have webpages linking to other webpages?

And even if the Flash didn't credit him, it would have been just as easy to redirect people to a page that did. Or block access. His reaction was totally over the top.

I think the point is that by linking the game direct to the guys own website, they are using up more bandwidth as Fuddruckers is going to get a damn sight more visitors that the original site would.

Plus, if it was me, I wouldn't want them linking direct either.

I do agree there. Blocking access would have been a better option.
