24 Aug 2005 11:27 amI'm currently glad my parents don't live near any (big) rivers and the probability of the Selbbach flooding and reaching our house is very very small indeed.
Southern Germany, as well as parts of Austria and Switzerland are looking bad, though.

This is not, as it may look like, a river or canal, it's a motorway in Switzerland and

Bern looks like Venice...
The Cam seems to be reasonably well behaved so far but if this goes on for a week I might have to start wading when I want to get into my car. The area where our office is was under water during the heavy floods a few years ago.
