i really think you ar talented. With my recent passion for icon creation, i've been looking at lots of stock galleries, and your work is alot better than many of the pictures i've seen...

Some excellent photos here Oz, particularly like the one of the Saxophinist ;). The deep focus on her and the bumper cars really pays off, and the motion blur on some of the rides is excellent.

A couple seem slightly blurry to me.. but that could well be my eyes at this point. Thought about doing some work for local mags - covering festivals and the like?

Feel free to use any photos I publish without a filter (with credit, of course). I might in turn ask you to make some icons for me. :o)

Cheers Mouse! Praise from someone who understands about photography is even better. :o)

Actually, I'm thinking about doing something like that (gig photography for The Junction, for example) but I need a decent portfolio first, and that's what I'm working on.

As for blur, in which photos? Most of the nighttime shots have (deliberate) motion blur. I especially like the ones of the wooden horses on the merry-go-round.

On the people playing on dark stages - saxophinist, and the band at the bottom of the page, as I say it might just be my eyes, but they don't seem quite as crisp as they might be?

The pic of the saxophonist has a very shallow DOF (taken at f1.4) but for the other band I only had the kit lens which meant long exposure times so there will be some camera shake and there was some fog, too.

I'll have a good look when I have some time, i.e. not before next week. Another factor could be the compression, it's resized from a 5MB original, after all.

Tomorrow I'll be taking photos of [livejournal.com profile] cryx and then Killing Miranda playing at the Camden Underworld. Good thing I got almost through my backlog...

the longer exposures would more than account for it. As I say, it's not a big thing, doesn't seem out of focus, just not as *crisp* as it might be.
