Far too hot today
13 Jul 2005 09:22 pmHad to go into town to sign the pension plan and almost melted on the way from the car to the bank and back. At least my parents' car has aircon.
Pretty much done processing photos. Work with the laptop is actually not bad as long as I only have photoshop open. Copying from the camera and to/from the USB harddrive is extremely tedious, though as my poor laptop is only USB 1.0.
Good thing I managed it, though because I'm going to have loads more to deal with come the weekend.
End result are probably about 300 photos that will end up online when I get home as the stupid connection I have to use here isn't reliable enough.
I hope it'll cool off tonight so I can practice some more Tai Chi in the garden but it's too hot at the moment. Then again, it looks like it's even hotter in England, so I'm quite glad I'm not there atm. Hopefully, it'll cool down a bit on Saturday, I don't want to lob around all my camera gear in blistering heat.
Early bed tonight as I'm going to leave at about 10 tomorrow, getting a lift to the nearest town with a southbound train connection and then take the train to Nuremberg. Should be there by lunchtime, dump my luggage and wander through town taking pics and do some shopping.
If all goes well I should be home in Cambridge by 7 at the latest.
