Walked into town in the afternoon to take photos of the "sights" and also test my new Sigma EX f2.8 70-200mm lens, which was a big success.
There was a concert in town square and a performance by a Czech folk dance group, which made for additional interesting subjects.
Got home, downloaded photos (I had filled my 2GB card), had dinner and set off again for the funfair again. The plan had been to meet up with an old mate but we had mobile communication breakdown so it didn't happen. Walked around a bit and took more photos and finally went home at about 11.
Sunday
Big roast beef lunch and then off into town to take photos of the procession. The weather was perfect, sunny and not to hot (yet). Then I went to the fairground to take photos of the games and home afterwards as it was quite hot by then and I wanted to relax and process photos.
Met up with an old mate in the early evening for coffee and then had some food at the fairground. I was just being served at the Hog Roast stand when the guy next for me asked "Could I have a portion of just crackling, please?" - "Sure, we do anything for money." ;o)
Walked home and processed more photos, just to take yet more of the fireworks. Our terrace is good for watching but the photos didn't come out that clearly as I only had my rickety old tripod which couldn't quite cope with the weight of the D70 with the Sigma lens. A few are reasonable, though.

Monday
Another glorious day
Off to have some food at the fairground at about 11, watched the procession again and took more photos and then went home for a few hours to relax.
Watched the official closing ceremony in town square and headed back to the fairground to meet up with two friends to drink wine and chat. Called it a night at about 11.
Tuesday
Still sunny and hot. Went to bank for some investment info, going in again tomorrow to sign the pension plan thing. More reading and photo processing.
