A good night out

karohemdFinished work nice and early on Friday, got home, changed and headed for London.
Dropped off my bag at my friends' place and strolled over to Angel to a nice little Vietnamese restaurant (gah, forgot the name). We shared a selection of starters (crispy duck, golden pancakes and soups) and two main dishes (the special of the day, Hanoi Style Fish - gorgeous - and sizzling prawn). Great food and cheap for London (mains around £7). I didn't have to pay so even better ;o) (it was my birthday present).
Unfortunately, both felt a bit poorly and didn't come along to SC so I took the bus after just missing one and having forgotten the time at the restaurant, only got there 20 minutes past 11 which meant queuing.

thepussykat at the entrance to the main building. Other people met included malakite, nadriel and the ever present jonny_eol.
SC really needs more DJs likedissonanz, he played a great set consisting of some recent hits and brand-new stuff and people danced so the myth of people not dancing to tracks they don't know is indeed a myth. Shame the rest was the same dreary mix...
Held out quite long til past 3am as Vain played some reasonable if old EBM at the end.
Took nightbus and walked the rest of the way to my place of crash, showered and crashed. Got up a bit before 11, had big yummy breakfast and chatted for ages about everything, exchanged some music and headed home.
Have last week's Dr Who to watch now. Must remember to actually tape it tonight.
