As you guessed it, this means I'm in Boston. Somerville, MA, to be exact, at
poetman's rather spacy apartment.
Getting there wasn't too bad, either.
As I wanted to avoid having to take the tube with luggage during rush hour, I took the coach, which took three hours but got there in the end. As I had checked in online, getting my boarding pass and checking my luggage was a matter of five minutes (no queues at the e-terminals).
Hung around a bit and then the flight was called which left almost on time and was reasonably quiet. Unfortunately, the online check-in gave me an automatic seat which I couldn't change (bah, bad advertising) so I was stuck at the window. As it was a night flight, there wasn't really a point having one so getting up to stretch and walk about a bit was a bit tricky, especially when the people next to me were sleeping, so I watched The Bourne Supremacy and Collateral (not bad at all).
We had tail wind for about half the journey (and then strong headwind) so got there 20 minutes earlier than scheduled. Customs was reasonably painless and quick, despite having my index fingers scanned and a photo taken (with a lousy webcam).
poetman was there to pick me up and getting to his place was quick as well.
I'm only a bit tired, despite it now being 4am in the UK.
poetman's cats are cute and have just had a bath because of a poo incident. I'm probably going to go to crash out soon. I'm not sure what's planned for tomorrow but I want to be fit for it and the weather is supposed to be good.
