Friday

robinbloke's birthday party with far too many LJ users to mention. Made Dippadoom™ and the renamed Moussadoom™ which were both gratefully received and gobbled up in no time. Good fun and a good time.

Saturday
Slept in far too late which meant I didn't get out of the house as early as intended and promptly got stuck in traffic on my way to

akonken and

jholloway's for Unknown Armies goodness. Made it in time to create a character, though. Met John (LJ?) and

lslaw, the other two players and then got thrown in the deep end straight away.
"So here I am, starting a new life and job at McDonald's in Rose Crescent, witness customers behaving oddly, have a friend from the homeless support scheme missing, am told about the ear vomiting Amish Fenland Cannibals, the existence of magick and WeirdShit™ and a "reverse vampire" called Syntax. I don't know why I haven't run away screaming yet but I guess spending half of my life on the streets meant I don't care about much anymore and just want to find out what happened to Jim."
It's early days yet but I think this group will work well.
Afterwards,

jholloway cooked chicken, red pepper and onion tortillas accompanied by

akonken's green beans with soy sauce and garlic (which are indeed as yummy as she said) for dinner and we chatted some more about our past roleplaying exploits.

Then I took

akonken along to the Graduate where I was greeted by the Vamp players and told to go to

raggedy_man's because they had cocked up and double-booked us or rather gotten the date wrong. :o( Good thing that Andy's parents weren't home yet and that they'll give us the venue for free next month (and free credit behind the bar).
We learned a bit about Cambridge in the new WoD and bashed out some character concepts but had to cut the session short.
At least I've got a concept now and can work from there (Nosferatu/Ordo Dracul (stealth) photographer/web designer/internet pr0n merchant).
