Tuesday
Slept in for far longer than intended due to late night which meant things got a bit rushed at the end and I didn't get as much tidying done as I'd wanted but hey, nobody's going to see it. ;o)
Taxi to station, train to Stansted, checked in, had quick dinner, resisted buying a bottle of 12 year old Macallan and spent the time reading at the gate. The plane was delayed for twenty minutes but the flight itself was OK and not too rough.
My parents had made it to the airport and the drive home was fine as well, the odd patch of fog but no snowstorms or icy roads. Crashed out soon after getting home and enjoying the benefits of sleeping in my old room: cold room, warm bed, blinds that completely block out any light and compared to Cambridge, relatively quiet.
Wednesday
It's nice and wintery, about -10 during the day and a nice covering of snow, although not that much. The air is wonderfully dry and crisp. Some photos from around town will be online when I get a decent connection, this one sucks currently.
Fresh local bread, real bread and various goodies (sausage and cheese) for dinner, mmmm.

the_lady_lily* Jealous yet? ;o)
My new room is big enough to do Tai Chi in, rar, so I intend to get in lots of practice. Did some foundation exercises and the set as far as I know it twice.
Relaxed evening with a big book (started with Wolves of the Calla) and Amelie on TV. I think I'll sleep well tonight (last night was a bit fretful as it always is in unfamiliar surroundings). More laziness tomorrow, yay! And then the Battle of the Calories...
