More Octaine updates

Despite the low turnout, Thursday's Octaine was a blast. I've had a great time discussing music and the current rather sorry state (in terms of innovation) of the alternative scene with Ian and Bart of MoMT Records and Bug of K-Nitrate and AudioWar (new album coming soon, I'll hopefully have a copy in time for Die Fabrik). Ian and Bug later played two storming sets of Industrial and IDM, which offered a nice contrast to my Dark Ambient and dj_slingshot's Eighties and raggedy_man's Alt Rock sets.

The future?
To be honest, it doesn't look good. Our funds are just big enough to run the December one. After that, and if attendance numbers remain as low as they have been, we won't be able to afford it anymore.
We have a few ideas (three or four events a year, probably at another venue and also a secret plan involving something else entirely) but it's unlikely the current format will continue.

Whatever the new year will bring, the December one (on the 9th) is going to a special one, watch this space. If we have to go out, we want to go out with a bang. And for that, we need your help. First of all, finally come along and don't just promise. Secondly, bring all your friends and tell everybody you know about it.
