First test shoot with my new toy
28 Oct 2004 10:54 pmWent around the corner from work to St. Andrew's Church in Chesterton to take a couple of shots and stopped again after work for some night shots.
I know the composition is off at times but the point of the exercise was to get a feel for the camera and try various settings.
The night shots are all handheld at ISO 1600 with automatic white balance, aperture between f3.6 and f4.5, shutter speed between 2s and 1/30th.
Thankfully the kit is heavy enough to hold steady without tripod. I'll go back with a tripod soon to take some long exposures.
All shots are unchanged, just resized to be web-friendlier (orginal size Large at Fine quality JPG).
