[Music] Mini-(p)review: Killing Miranda - Consummate

Thanks to the wonderful filthyrikky I have a pre-release copy of the new Killing Miranda album out later this month.

Whereas the new Rammstein album left me rather cold, this is quite exciting. Nicely varied tracks, with more, harder and in places quite modern guitar parts with underlying keyboard and sequenced loops. So, if you're looking for some cool and bouncy industrial/darkwavy rock/metal, get this instead.

The mix has been much improved from the earlier promo versions of Enter the Dagon, I Know What You Want and Conspiracy Theory I had. As a little taster, you can find the latter (the first single release) on the KM website as CD quality download. Those who were at the Calling two weeks ago will have heard it.
Nine full length tracks (including a mystery track due to a misprint on the first run of the CD inset) and three short ones, total running time about 45 minutes.

I've tried to think of which song No More Love Songs reminds me of and I finally have it: And One's Wasted. Sorry, filthyrikky ;oP

It's out on the 25th of October and will be availble online from amazon and play.com as well as from HMV, apparently.

Come to Octaine on Thursday to get a taster as I'm sure I can persuade either raggedy_man or dj_slingshot to play something in their sets (I play German 80s and Noise so it's not really suitable).

I played Conspiracy Theory last time but one more can't hurt. "No More Love Songs" is fantastically cheesy. :o)

The quality of the songs are miles apart but a little similarity can't be denied, I think. ;o)
