Full update - Synthetic Culture
19 Sep 2004 12:30 amFinished work, had dinner, got ready, got train, dropped off my stuff at my friends' place. Unfortunately both Mara and Heidi felt a bit under the weatherand couldn't come along so I made my way to the Egg on my own.
The music on the top floor was really good to start with (good EBM and Electro without the overplayed shite) and I danced my little feet off for over 90 minutes until the 80s set started. From then on I moved between the floors, dancing here and there, chatting to various people (so many I knew, list below!), eating a fried plantain and simply having a great time. After midnight, the music was mixed but Rex and
dissonanz played a cool dancy set which even got
naranek to dance to techno (I have photographic evidence). The added live guitar was a bit strange but worked remarkably well during most tracks.
Rather exhausted, I left at about 3am. Good thing it only took me 10 mins to walk to my place of crash and a very comfy bed.
My Dr Albert T-Shirt was a great success, so many thanks to
sogoth for the design and
claire_wain making it on rather short notice.
As several people have asked, you can find Dr Albert and his creations at the Baby Horrors website. You know you want one!
