I have an email to print out that gives anyone who has one free entry for two people to the preview of Hero at Cineworld on Monday, 7pm.
Take the printout to the box office, get your tickets and whee! (first come, first served).
I've got it on DVD but it'll look so much better on a big screen. Who wants to come along?
I can print out multiple copies no problem.

Update: Interested so far: Heidi from work, me, Andy, Richard, Mouse, Robin and Kate.

OK. We'll sort out when and how to meet up closer to the time.
I'd say 6:30 at the latest but there probably aren't that many people on the mailing list.

Ooooo I'd be interested, Kates down then so hopefully she can come along too.

If it's the preview may be worth booking.

Cool!
Er, if you book, you have to pay.
With the email you need to turn up and show them a printout and you get in for free.
It's not on the website so I assume it's just a promotion for the email subscribers.

I'd love to come, but what is Hero? Never heard of it

Have a look at the link in the original post.
Very simply put, Jet Li plays a swordmaster who has killed three Assassins threatening the life of the King of Qi and visits him to receive his award and tells him the story of how he killed the three most lethal assassins in China. The plot is more complicated than that but the main aspect of the film are the beautiful visuals. It's also *very* Eastern.
If you loved Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, you will love this one (although it's different), if you didn't, there's no point in seeing Hero as it's even stranger (from our Western point of view).

Haven't seen Crouching Tiger yet - that was the year I spent in a nuclear bunker I think!
