Friday
After preparing Dippadoom™ and marinated pork steaks, I headed down to [livejournal.com profile] andrewdavies' for some early BBQ and chat. Left rather early (midnightish) and fell into bed unconscious.
Saturday
Slept way into the afternoon, had breakfast, got ready and off I was to the second day of BBQ.
Paul and [livejournal.com profile] jasonooc had bought half of Maplins in the form of a bubble and a smoke machine. Together with Jason's other stuff, we had a better rig than the Kambar...
Picked up [livejournal.com profile] vyvyan and [livejournal.com profile] razornet, met [livejournal.com profile] dj_slingshot and his wife at the Gwydir St. car park and when we got to Andy's the BBQ was nice and hot. My steaks were well received as well as [livejournal.com profile] razornet's venison (cheers Grim!)
It was all very mellow and relaxed, the neighbours didn't complain (at least not to us directly), their dog lived (for the time being)

Even after 10 hours of sleep, I'm still tired as hell. I sooo need a holiday and afterwards regular sleeping patterns...

I forgot to tell you earlier - your Dippadoom recipe is almost identical to a recipe for dip my grandma used to make called "boursin", but with more garlic.

Interesting! "Boursin" is actually a brand of French fresh cheese with garlic and herbs or black pepper. It's very crumbly, though.

*grins*
I don't think there's any recipe with more garlic than mine. ;o)
