BRAIIIINNSSS!!!
1 Apr 2004 12:46 pmDawn of the Dead is the highest quality slasher film I've ever seen. Go and see it but only if you don't mind gore and graphic violence. ;o) There are a couple of scenes which made me go "Whoooaaa" not because I was grossed out but because I was surprised that they actually showed it.
Fantastic characters as well. Stereotypes, yes but so well done you did care about them, even Steve, the arrogant townie twat. He had some of the best lines as well.
Mentioning lines, there's just the right amount of humour in it that makes the oppressive atmosphere bearable, creating a good balance between really tense moments and comic relief.
Very pleased with the ending as well. And stay on while the credits roll.

Great film though

My favourite bit from the cast list in the credits:
Squished Zombie - Name
Thrashing Zombie - Name
Oh, did you spot Joe Savini as the sheriff on TV.
"You've got to shoot them in the head and then they stay down."
"Hey, we've got a twitcher over here!" Bang!
