Matrix Revolutions

crocodilewings, it was better than Reloaded
There was a welcome lack of really bad drivel and Morpheus only had a couple of lines. Just the Trinity death scene dragged quite a bit.
Also, no ropey CGI. The Zion invasion looked astonishingly realisitic and must be loaded with CGI. The APUs (loading robots have come a long way) were probaly the most obvious bits.
I think my favourite bit was when Neo punched Smith in the head in slow motion. The whole Neo/Smith final confrontation was OTT but still nicely done.
The spiky hovering thing with the "face" at the machine city reminded me of something I can't quite place, Bladerunner maybe?
They even tried to explain why the Oracle looked differently (the original actress died a couple of days into the shooting of the film).
The question remains, what is the Matrix? Is it just the Architect and the Oracle playing a god game?
And didn't Bane look at least a bit like Jason Stafford (US NST)?
Oh, the Merovingian's nightclub rocked muchly. A bit too much latex for my taste and not enough of Monica Belluci but still cool.

Aliens does though (with the transport picking them up)
