Short introduction
27 May 2003 08:34 pmHi, there!
My name's Ozzy (Well, my friends call me that) and I've been a big fan since Born in the U.S.A. came out. I bought the back catalog pretty quickly after that and every album since.
Yesterday, I had the chance to see The Boss perform for the third time (first time was '88 in Munich and '93 in Frankfurt). The stadium in Crystal Palace (South London, UK) was pretty full and I had a very good spot right in front of the mixer tent.
Three hours of solid Rock, Springsteen style. It was utterly wonderful. He's 53 now but runs, jumps and boogies across the stage as if he was 20. Giving everything, until the point of exhaustion.
Then, obviously, for the first time for me, the full compliment of the E Street Band (my parents wouldn't drive me to the '85 concert), I was utterly in awe.
Surprises in the setlist were Darlington County and Meeting Across the River which merged into Jungleland. You can find the full setlist on the official page.
Best concert, ever, anywhere, from any artist, and I've been to a few in my time.
I'll post a full report later this week when I have some time. Rock on!
