[livejournal.com profile] robinbloke started off his Cyberpunk 2050 campaign last night and we went off on a good start. The characters were inducted into Trauma Team and went through a virtual training mission and it worked! Nobody screwed up, everything went as smoothly as it could. My teenage tech/pilot didn't crash the AV, the hitters only hit the people they were supposed to hit, the med tech saved the victim and the media pranced about filming it all.
Considering the players, this is an unusual accomplishment. ;o)

Twitter was a bit dodgy last night (or it might have been the net connection) so the liveblog is a bit less complete than I wanted it to be. Unfortunately, twittinesis is a bit less customizable than loudtwitter was so I have to edit the subject afterwards and there will be two recap twiitter posts (one from my regular account and one for Cyberpunk) on Wednesday mornings.

Last July aka [livejournal.com profile] alixandrea and [livejournal.com profile] g0th1c are part of a free gig at the Corner House on Newmarket Rd. tomorrow night, starting off the evening at 8:30.
Yeah, I have no idea how they are going to fit a band in there, either but I'll be there to show my support.

I'll have yummy Thai dinner at The Wrestlers (on Newmarket Rd, at the corner of the tesco turnoff) beforehand (7ish) and then wander down.
If anyone would like to join me (for either), please come.

Confusion seems to reign about recent LJ changes so I'm putting a few things together:

- Pingbacks send you a message if someone links to an LJ post of yours. Check here (second from bottom) if it's on or not.

- Stay away from Facebook/Twitter Connect!
As long as you don't set up Facebook/Twitter Connect on the Extensions page, you can't xpost your entries or comments. However, it's possible for others to xpost their comments they make on one of your posts. There's currently a possible security nag which might allow xposting a comment on a f-locked post. Big Boo there, LJ. Even it if it's a public post, I don't want willy-nilly to post stuff to facebook I don't want there. These accounts are separate for a reason.

Annoyingly, even when you've disabled xposting, you'll get the checkboxes in each comment you're going to write. Thankfully, but only for Firefox, there's a script for Greasemonkey that will get rid of them. I just tried it, it works.
