A randomly good night out

I mainly went along to the Hopbine to see the Katydids (see previous post) play but as it was an open mic night, there were all kinds of people doing their thing, from beat poets and standup comedians to various kinds of musicians.
The Katydids were excellent and got a great reaction from the audience, quite a feat in Cambridge. I took photos in crap light so they're probably all going to be black&white. Here's a preview of the compere (and poet).
Added bonus was ulfilias turning up.

To those who know about Japan

When you read about Japan, they say you should go during cherry blossom season because it's so beautiful and from what I've seen on TV and photos, it indeed is.

However, I wouldn't associate Japan with the actual fruit. Are cherry trees simply decorative?

After watching Great British Menu this week, I'm even less inspired to go to Midsummer House at one point. With all of the courses I thought I'd rather eat Glynn's choice although Daniel's main course was close to be my choice. They should have picked Alimentum's head chef instead. Just shows that two Michelin stars mean nothing.
