Er, not much to report.
Friday night was spent cooking a kale/pak choy/carrot stirfry (no photo Also, the kale was instead of the PSB that was supposed to be in the box, grrrr), watching CSA and playing Sam and Max Hit the Road.
Saturday was incredibly lazy as I slept into the afternoon and then just mooched about listlessly catching up with Lost until the evening when I cooked a nice salmon fillet and then attacked the Rome Burns/SBA shoot with a vengeance.

Sunday was equally lazy but I got some washing up, laundry and general tidying done. Dinner was lamb's liver with steamed kale and parsnip mash and then I did more SBA/Rome Burns photos and chatted to [livejournal.com profile] jupiter_jones a bit.

Tonight I need to finish the photos and burn the CDs to give to [livejournal.com profile] toripink tomorrow evening.

Neil Gaiman will be signing stuff at the London Forbidden Planet on Friday. I have the day off and could easily train down and up again.
Would be cool to meet him extremely briefly in the flesh, say Hi etc. but the queues will no doubt be huge and I might not make it to the front so it might not be worth it.

Anyone care to keep me company and for for a bite afterwards if I go?

After discovering that I only had 1.5 instead of 2GB of RAM I ordered an upgrade which should help things along a bit.

However, I'm also looking into improving the processing power. I currently have a Duron processor and according to the motherboard manual, I can install anything up to an "Athlon XP 3200+". I looked around various online retailers (ebuyer etc.) but none seem to do Athlon XP CPUs anymore but there are quite a few on ebay, one of them as high as 100 quid "buy now" but around 40-50 seems to be the average.
How much should a CPU of that type cost?

Any tips gratefully received.

I currently don't want to upgrade my motherboard as it would mean I'd need all kinds of new things (hard drives, probably RAM etc.), too. If 50 quid or so would give me enough oomph to last another year or so, I'd be happy. The current motherboard only has a Socket A.
