My brain hurts but it was damn fine, especially considering all the unknown actors.

From the trailers, I don't know what to make of Perfume but I was drooling at the redhead, DOA looks like a good laugh, in a brain off, Charlie's Angels on crack way, and Stay Alive could be good but could just be very bad indeed.

it's finally cool enough to sit outside in the garden so I'm going to do just that and read a bit until I have to go back in to do the dishes and then watch the end of 24.

*groans*

Outside was pleasant but I finished my book and have to do some very urgent things before 24 so I'm back. My side of the house is facing the evening sun so it's still very warm (28 degrees in a corner that never sees sunlight). I wish I could rotate the house so my windows are always facing away from the sun.
The house has stored the heat now, though, and only the understairs cupboard is a bit cooler. My parents' stone and brick house will still be lovely and cool inside.

While this sort of heat still almost literally knocks me out (I can't move, feel like I'm packed in wool, short of breath etc.), I don't sweat as much as I used to. I used to sweat a lot, even when not moving, I would just sit or lie there with sweat pouring off me in streams. I'm not quite sure why that is but it could well be my more balanced diet and healthier lifestyle in general. Another bonus. Even dancing like a loon at the last SC only produced a bit of a sheen rather than buckets.

Right, on with the chores.

Excluding a few glitches and far too lucky escapes, this has been the finest series yet, though, not just in terms of plot but also character development. Is there going to be a day 6, though? If there is, it can't follow the usual format because, well, Jack would find it a bit difficult to help...
