Lost musings
29 May 2006 10:53 pmRight, after watching Season 2 up til and including ep 10 (anybody who's seen more, please shut up):
I don't think it can last longer than three seasons:
- Season 1: introduction to and first insights into the backstories of the frontenders (Jack and crew), lots of mysterious happenings on the island
- Season 2: introduction to and first insights into the backstories of the backenders (Ana-Lucia and crew), some glimpses into what's going on (wtf is Dharma's role), some deeper insights into the frontender's stories, more mysteries (the odd creatures and stuff), maybe a major confrontation with the Others/attempt to rescue Walt and the abducted backenders. Maybe also a few more flashbacks on the backenders' time on the island (although episode 7 pretty much covers that and there are only four named characters left).
- Season 3: resolutions
I think any more would just drag it out too far.
There aren't that many untold stories left: Libby and Rose/Bernard (although the latter two seem to be minor characters). We don't know that much about Sawyer yet, there might be a little more about Ana-Lucia and Eko (but pretty much only how and why the got onto the Lost flight), Locke seems less and less the mysterious guy, just someone really sensitive who can read people well and Hurley got his piece, too (although the mystery of the numbers remains).
( Spoilers on Ana-Lucia and Eko )
Still love it, though.
The bastards on ITV aren't showing Supernatural tonight! Wah!
