Soooo knackered but it was a lot of fun. Full update in a bit.

Manchester weekend - Saturday

Got up around 9, wrote an LJ post, had breakfast and then tooth_fairy raided her wardrobe for outfits to wear and we started with various ideas (sort of period dress, green dress and enormous colourful wooly jumper of doom!)  which led to some reasonable results. Yay!
puddingcat with a large amount of Stuff&trade arrived just in time for a sandwich lunch.

Then it was puddingcat's turn in a short olive military style dress and Big Boots™. We're not mentioning the bear, no. Bad and wrong doesn't even start to describe it.
Next up was tooth_fairy in a black/silver corset and turquoise dress. My jury-rigged snoot worked very well for that, too. Yay!
After that, puddingcat in a suit with bowler hat and then reading and drinking tea.
puddingcat then changed into a Bettie Page style outfit with a polka dotted circle skirt made by claire_wain (shameless plug) and first post on her own and then with tooth_fairy for a couple of fun photos.
We ordered some Chinese for dinner (quite good, actually) and while the girls watched Strictly Come Dancing, I processed a few preview photos.

After dinner we had a brief Bad Taste/What Not to Wear session and after that fun low-light shots with lava lamps and candles.

A few experiments didn't quite achieve their goals but the reason for most of that was the lack of appropriate equipment/space.

All in all a very busy day with some good results. It was a lot of fun, too and I'm glad I came.

Manchester weekend - Sunday

fried_chicken brought over anwen_swift and we had loads of fun taking photos. The "little 'un" is a natural model and likes to pose. She just needs to work on her attention span. It was a great but tiring experience.
Went with fried_chicken on a quest to find take-away for lunch on a Sunday. Eventually we did and the Shish Kebab was enormous and very good, especially at that price (£3.90).
Then said good-bye to the visitors, packed the car and waited for Sami's text so I could go to Urmston and pick him up from the station.
Took the A628/A1 route back which was a lot less busy than the M6 so eventually got back at a quarter past seven.

Just downloading the photos to my PC and then an early night. I'm knackered but happy.

I simply had to pick a few pics of that set and post a link to it here. I'll paste them properly into a post sometime this week.
Damn, photographing children is hard work, even if they are natural posers/models like Anwen. It was a lot of fun, though.
