Saw:
Not bad at all. A bit reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs, Se7en etc. serial killer/psycho thriller thing without happy ending. Well, there's Saw II later this year.

Vlad:
Completely different to what I expected (a cheesy Vampire-B-Movie). Four students are researching the myths surrounding Vlad Tepes/Dracula and are caught up in a sort of conspiracy.
It's not great but not terrible, either, with some good moments. It has Brad Dourif in it who usually has a similar effect of making rather dire films that little bit better as Lance Henriksen but his role isn't big enough.

That DVD had three trailers: Barbarian, which had the court room/mud wrestling scene from Deathstalker in it (I thought I recognised it, checked on imdb and it's indeed the case) and looks like a very similar film (muscular hero "saving" the kingdom and shagging all the women he meets). Couldn't resist adding it to my rental queue. ;o)
The Bunker actually looks reasonably well made (some sort of closed quarters/shell shock/military psychothriller during WWII) but R.I.C.C.O looks like it was filmed on a home video camera by a bunch of film students. Actually, the film [livejournal.com profile] belak_krin was showing had better production values and acting.

Ah, I love Lovefilm, as many DVDs as you want, three at a time, for 15 quid a month. They have both recent releases and crap from the bottom shelf. Rar. There are few DVDs I'd watch more than once or twice so this is a very good investment, for the same price as one average retail DVD. Let me know if you want a free trial, I can get you one.

I also finally finished Stephen King's Dark Tower.

Bed now, final big tidy/cleaning day tomorrow.

Now this spoof article is almost too close to reality for comfort...
