Consternation: Sunday
15 Aug 2005 12:33 amAnother good day.
Except for one, nobody had signed up for MC so I played card and board games with Hammy, Mike, Chris and Allen Varney. I had brought Reiner Knizia's Korsar which, surprisingly, Hammy didn't know but really liked. We also played Die Sieben Siegel (a Nomination Whist variant) and then Shadows over Camelot, a very entertaining cooperation board game, won by the traitorous Hammy.
Then it was time for Gamers' Wives, the freeform run by Mrs and Mr
gbsteve and also featured the likes of
sesquipedality,
akonken and
jholloway. It was hilarious and well played by everyone involved. I'll have more photos tomorrow but for the time being it's this one:
After that, I played Shadows over Camelot again, this time with seven players. It dragged along a bit but was still good fun. This one we actually won as we managed to expose the traitor (if almost too late).
Finally, I stopped at The Carlton for
sesquipedality's birthday drink. Bed now. Good night.
