I'm going to see Sin City on Monday at 18:20 at the VUE Cambridge. Anyone want to join me?
Tonight was
camgothfilmclub which featured the superb film noir The Third Man and the hammy House on Haunted Hill.
I hadn't seen The Third Man for about a 20 years and I don't think I ever saw it from beginning to end. It is one of if not the best films of its time and a prime example of Film Noir. The photography is wonderfully stark and the unusual zither soundtrack haunting.
House on Haunted Hill is a typical 50's horror affair with scream queens and the wonderful Vincent Price. It has a couple of nice twists and even gets away with some bad SFX.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
