Updates while my hair is drying
11 Apr 2005 01:12 am- The Unknown Armies session at
lslaw's place in Huntingdon was great and we managed to get through quite a few things. We don't know much than before but at least we know now that we don't know anything, which is an improvement. We still haven't managed to lock up the Fenland Amish Cannibals and the Diesel Powered Nazis in the night version of the Round Church are still as mysterious before. Now if powerful NPCs like Professor Syntax don't want anything to do with the Round Church, why should we bother? Ah right, we're PCs, of course we ignore warnings...
A whole new mystery is the Big Game thing which makes my head hurt.
- Got a lift back from Simon and had enough time to meet up with
lsur at the Arts Picturehouse for the special showing of F.W. Murnau's Faust with a live score played on dulcimers and flute. I hadn't seen Faust before and it was really good. Considering it was made in 1926, the effects were spectacular and the silent acting was superb. The print was also very high quality, there were hardly any splotches or other artifacts. The live score by Geoff Smith played on three different dulcimers was a perfect accompaniment. While mostly in the same style as classic orchestral scores, the unusual instruments gave it a whole new dimension.
He's on tour with this throughout the UK, catch it if you can.
- As I was hungry and I fancied some Greek, I had dinner at the Varsity just down the road. Nice lamb chops and even better Greek salad. Yum.
- Got home, crashed out, uploaded another ad from the Captain Future book, showered and washed my hair.
