[Cam-ish] Camera oddness

The lights at the College Arms are odd. To the human eye, there was a lot more ambient light than at the Requiem game at SCaRE where I could happily shoot at 1/30th at ISO1600. At the CA, I'd get over 1.5s at least. Flash didn't help, either. Although it released, the photos remained dark. A mystery.
First I thought something was wrong with my camera but I just tested it in the kitchen and it's fine. Strangeness.

Does anyone else have trouble taking pics there?
