Being silly

If one could construct a solar panel that's powerful enough to drive a UV bulb which in turn is powerful enough to charge the solar panel, one would have a perpetuum mobile, right?

This was inspired by the Japanese electric car running on two watch batteries (for 1km), suggesting that it would probably run forever on solar power.

As I haven't many lazy evenings in Cambridge left before I fly home for Christmas, I'll be taking my toy and a tripod into town tomorrow for some shooting experiments. After work, probably around 7. Anyone welcome to join me so I have someone to chat to, give advice and carry the tripod. ;o)

Tai Chi update

Lots of practice of the Wave Hands and kick sequences today and one little new bit, not that tricky.
I was really tired today so couldn't concentrate properly which meant I was teetering and tottering all over the place. This became better as the lesson went on, though.

The new sequence wasn't difficult as it was mainly made up of moves we already knew. However, it's now becoming tricky to remember how the various sequences connect. When we do all of the set from the start, I sometimes get the connecting sequence wrong if it's in a bit we just learned. This is perfectly normal, though, and happens to everyone, even to those who have been doing the whole set for a while.

Unfortunately, I'll be missing next week's lesson due to being on holiday but that's not too bad as it's going to be a practice session without new bits.
