Battlestar Galactica

The generous poetman invited devalmont, robinbloke and me (well, those were the ones who showed up) around his place to watch the full run of the Battlestar Galactica mini-series.
Having browsed around the website a bit and seen the trailer I really didn't think it would be any good but I wanted to see with my own eyes.
As a recommendation, if you're a fan of the old series/films, try to ignore the fact that it's supposed to be BC and watch it as if you've never seen the original series. Also, it's not as I falsely assumed, a remake but a continuation (40 years later and the BC is about to be taken out of commission).
Then it's really rather entertaining. However, as almost always with mini-series, it could have been an hour shorter in total as there were some finger-drumming moments in there.

Surprising easy day at work

The workload was a lot less than anticipated and despite having to cover for the LM, the day was quiet.
Discovered the Read Out Loud function of Acrobat Reader which came in handy when I had to batch process a number of files and I could listen to to my PC reading a MC chapter to me while I was watching the progress.

More MC scribbling tonight, a bit of TV and then early bed.
