Help, I'm melting!

I'm considering sitting in the fridge but it's not big enough.

I hate the heat.

I just found out that on puddingcat's journal, I'm a pastel turquoise...

I'd expected a deep blue or fiery red but such a boring colour?? ;o)

Parental timing

At least they won't turn up before Wednesday night. I hope the weather in Wales will be sunny so they won't be here til Thursday. It's still perfect timing. I have the Thursday off to catch up on sleep, pack and prepare but my parents are about. At least I don't have to explain Nocker gear to them, just maybe why exactly I'm taking a large chef's knife...
Dad is easily distracted but Mum won't keep her fingers off my room, although it's almost blinking by now, so clean it is. You know what single men's mothers are like.
I get on well with my parents usually, but too close isn't any good. A week or so is actually quite fun, especially with mum's great cooking (must be in the genes ;o) but it gets tedious after a while as our interests are so much different and there's soon nothing to talk about

I mustn't complain, really, there are people whose parents are a lot worse and I only see mine maybe three times a year. Living 800 miles away, across the Channel, actually has its advantages.
