Gran update
6 Feb 2002 08:39 pmJust got off the phone.
My gran is still in hospital, soon to be transferred to a rehab clinic as soon as a bed becomes available.
Fortunately, her mental state improved drastically Tuesday and Wednesday last week, she's almost back to normal in regards of memory etc. but still exhibiting some strange behaviour now and then. At least she isn't paranoid and doesn't want to kill herself anymore.
Physically, the left half of her body is completely paralyzed and as a result can't move arm, hands, fingers or leg. Two physical therapist are working with her but at the moment it looks like that won't improve that quickly, if at all.
The people at the rehab clinic will most likely be able to find out more.
All I can do here is wait, hope and send good vibes (and a Get Well Soon card).
