At least I won't fall asleep

Forgot to set my alarm this morning, woke up at 9:10 and suddenly realised I had work today. In the rush, I forgot to take music and book with me. *grumble*

Despite it being boring at work, I won't fall asleep as I have 4 litres of Mountain Dew standing on my desk, thanks to a colleague who was in the US on a business trip before Xmas (thanks Bernhard!) ;o)

... I bought a chart CD, Anastacia's Freak of Nature.

I absolutely adore her voice and I listened to the CD at Jay's (independent shop in Burleigh St.) and I liked at least half of the songs.

If she made classic Soul or Funk, it would be perfect.
Some songs are great (like the title track), others are a bit too Maria Carey, although her brilliant voice makes up for the lack of quality somewhat.
