Party at Christi's last night was fun, just a couple of friends sitting together, drinking, eating snacks and talking (sadly, the C word was mentioned and even more sadly the L and R words... but hey, it's our hobby). Sarah and Caroline finally arrived about half 11 after a 3 hour or longer drive from Oxford. That's when the scritchfest started... ;o)
After too much intermixed alcohol (I had JD with coke, a glass of port, a glass of Amarula and a glass of that Macadamia nut liqueur), I staggered home at about 2ish in lovely cold air.
Still too drunk to go to bed, I read and wrote some LJ, hung around IRC a bit and downloaded the pictures (forthcoming shortly). I finally went to bed at 4.
The alarm went off at 10:06 and I hit the snooze button once or twice too often, so I left without breakfast, switching off the computer without checking mail and headed off to the station.
When I was at the Elizabeth Bridge roundabout, Hillary called to tell me she was going to miss her train, so I turned around to have breakfast at home. *grumble* If I had checked my mail, I could have saved myself the trip...
Finally picked up Hillary at 12:45 and we headed into town. Went to the shrine at the market and the girl didn't know what Pixiesticks were!! Must have been new to the job...
So we toured around the colleges, peeked into Lingard Games where we both spent some Willpower not to buy anything, took in Round Church, Bridge Street and Quayside/Magdalene Bridge to head back to Burleigh St and FP. Had coffee and nibbles at the french bakery, then back to the car and the station.
Said good bye to Hillary (Have fun at Rent tonight!) and left for home.
Divided the dippadoom and added another glove of garlic to the ST bowl.
So, got to change and put the nibbles for the 'ling game together. Then it's off to the pub.
