More rain

Where does all the thunder come from? Usually when it's thundery, there's one big downpour that doesn't last very long. There have been at least three separate thunderstorms this afternoon. I guess you can never predict weather behaviour properly. Went out shopping with a few drops coming down and had to run to my car at tesco's an hour later and still got soaked.
