and introduces me to a fine blues guitarist called Joe Bonamassa. He cites his influences as mainly British (Clapton, Mayall etc.) but the first guitarist that came to my mind when I heard Joe was Jeff Healey. Awesome stuff.

Get his latest album - it is filled with awesome!

And he's currently touring, although I had no luck with the Albert Hall.

I intend to. :o)

There are still a few tickets on the Albert Hall website but they are really awkward seats.

I hadn't come across him before, but there have been many articles about him in the guitar press recently - and I am pleased to say he lived up to descriptions.

He is indeed most excellent. Have a look on Radio 2's iPlayer, there may still be Paul Jones's blues show where he did a live set. It was fanbloodytastic. :D

Ooh, thanks, I'll have a look! Since it moved to Mondays I haven't been able to listen and always foget I could listen again online. I usually listen to the 7pm BBC2 slot while making/eating dinner. :o)

Boo, he isn't in the episode that's still available and his session isn't on the separate bit on the website, either. :o(
