Stephen Fry is afraid of heights.
But what a time to pick to take a balloon over the Smoky Mountains. Beautiful!
And of horses. *giggles*

Yeah. Half-watching it myself; is good.

Afraid of heights normally? Or as part of his cyclothemia?
In the bipolar program he did for the beeb, he admitted that whenever he sees a bridge, he gets a massive urge to jump off it (as in suicidal, not bungee).
I have a kind of fear of knives for similar reasons...

I'm watching his (superbly made) America programme and he really looked uncomfortable in that hot air balloon so I assume it's normal.

yeah, but if you were having to tell yourself not to jump all the time... you'd look uncomfortable too.

I guess it probably is a normal fear of heights, just curious. That program he did on bp was excellent.

Of course.
He didn't mention anything specific. He was just holding on to the edge and tried to avoid look over.

It's a good programme, although I was just having dinner when the human decomposition part came on - no so pleasant!

Kentucky looks like a lovely area to see, countryside-wise.

*nods* Especially this time of year. Tennessee is lovely, too.
Mississippi was really boring, a bit like East Anglia, at least the bit I drove through.
