Fun movie and far too underrated. Very good CGI for the time, nice scenery and costumes, reasonable acting (if you ignore the accents) and an OK fantasy plot. Sean Connery obviously makes the film what it is and manages nicely to portray the dragon as a highly intelligent creature, not a nasty monster.

A little anecdote. About half a year before I saw the film I ran my last Earthdawn game in our group as I was leaving for England. I used some plot hooks from a published scenario and had the PCs meet Icewing, one of the Great Dragons. It was fun to see many similarities. I even had Icewing roast a cow for the PCs with his breath when they were looking uneasily at the live cow they were offered for dinner ;o)

Watching American Pie now, let's see how long it takes til I get bored
