Living Colour just randomly came up on my shuffled Winamp list. I own one or two albums and back in the day (early 90s) saw them live once. I've always liked crossover and their funk rock is right up my street.

Oooh, apparently they are still touring and there was a new album in '03.

I met one of the members when I was about eleven or twelve; the only thing I remember is that his name was also James. Still, that's longevity.

I saw them years ago, supporting a band I don't care to name, but they were awesome!

I only know of Vernon Reid and Corey Clover, I think the other members have changed quite often. Ah, one of the many bassists was a Carl James, if Wikipedia is to be believed.

Before a gig of the Blues Brothers Band I once chatted to a cool and friendly black guy who I thought was a tech (he was wearing a Gibson cap and a Marshall tshirt and jeans and had a backstage pass) and later turned to be Matt Guitar Murphy... ;o)

That's a really odd combination. Can't quite see Anthrax fans liking LC...

I used to love Living Colour when I was 18 or so.

kennst du von DJ Spooky That Subliminal Kid fat Dave Lombardo das album Drums Of Death?

Can I nick that quote and use it to explain my music collection to people please? :D
I had completely forgotten about Living Colour too, until about a year or so ago, when cabd made me a mix cd with a few of their songs on... wow! How could i have forgotten such a great band? that crossover funk/metal thing really got knocked down by grunge didn't it? i mean I love grunge, but the funk was cool too and the only obvious survivors were the Chillis and, for a little while, Faith No More.
Good to hear Living Colour are still going though!

I can't exactly remember a song. Only the feeling. I guess, I have to look for them at itunes. My old vinyl has been lost when I moved.
