I'm off to Dragonmeet tomorrow, the UK's best one day gaming convention.
Should be good again, lots of games on offer, probably too many. I would love to try a game of Qin, if there are any demos running, Spirit of the Century is also on my list and maybe there will be a game of HEX as Jeff Combos will be there. If not, there's always something you can pick up. Not sure if I'll join the freeformers, will depend on anything else interesting turning up.

See some of you there!

We're not likely to make it this year, so have a good time on our behalf...

Ah shame, I shall try my best.

Are you trying to keep [livejournal.com profile] rotwang from buying more dungeon parts? I thought you had just an extension built to accommodate those? ;o)

How much is entry? I'm thinking about going there earlier in the day as there might be some good holiday shopping to be had there.

Heh, it's not like he didn't buy enough at GCUS!

No, we're just horribly short of weekends for Christmas shopping and something had to give...

Dragonmeet was the first ever convention I went to back in... erm... 1987 I think. Good to hear it's still going strong!

I won't be there this year as I have to govern the shop.

Have fun down there.

They (James Wallis et.al. at the time) restarted it in 2000 and although it has WotC etc. as sponsors, it's always had a large Indie presence. Various publishers seem to favour DM for announcing new games/licences to GenCon, too.

I might make it there, it's close enough to Victoria to go to before catching the coach up north, depends on timing and circumstance (and when I get out of bed tomorrow).

If so, shall see you, if not, another time.

That would be cool, yes.

If I don't see you, have a better coach trip than on the way down last time and give my best to SB.
